TJX treated me to a Japanese Pasta and Pizza eatery at City Hall City Link, where I consumed, not Pasta, not Pizza, but RICE. Ho ho what irony.
Went over to Blym's house to partake in 4 player orgy of Super Smash Brothers Brawl. And Wii Sports.
Arsenal dominantly thrashed Manchester United and lost 1-2. For which I am very very happy and this happiness will be doubled, nay tripled, NAY QUADRAPULED, if Chelsea slips on the WIgan banana skin tonight.
All in all, one of the better and more memorable birthdays I had. Unlike, say last year, wherein nothing happened, except that I received my Project Work result >_>
I took leave today, which is why I can actually post this now and sip on my non-existent champagne and chortle, "Merry Ho Ho!"; "Hearty Har Har!". I have no idea what I'm saying.
My aunt has also bequeathed(in terms of handing down, not passing through will, she is still very well alive thank you very much) to me an HDTV, which is alas CRT in nature but supports resolutions of 720p/1080i. Again I have no idea, but this time am confuzzled by the paradoxical nature of a widescreen resolution residing in a Box, not slim LCD TV.
I can only tell that the sides of pictures/videos on screen are cut off a little, but not sure how it affects game-wise. I played Portal (from the delicious crate of citrus-goodness, Orange Box) but could not recall how it looked like in 576i resolution, meaning I could not tell if the sides were cropped or something. Anybody able to tell me of any effects?
Simply put, I can now play my PS3 in mine room instead of having to lug my lardy ass out to the living room; on an HDTV nonetheless!; and in 720p resolution but not really understanding how that works on a 4:3 TV Screen; and obtaining a wired connection to the modem/router instead of relying on dodgy wireless connection that is somewhat not responsive/ fucked up.
It's given birth to a humongous mess of wires thou =/
